Learn how to decorate cookies with royal icing - for beginners.
Private, one-on-one classes. (You're welcome to invite one or two friends for an additional fee.)
Three-Hour Beginner Class....
* Cookies will be made before you arrive.
* We'll make, color, and bag the icing together so that you can learn about all of that and icing consistencies. (First hour)
* We'll decorate together step by step. (Last two hours)
We'll start with the basics of icing consistencies, outlining, flooding, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and several marbling techniques. I'll show you how these techniques can be used for every holiday and occasion! We'll decorate together. I'll demonstrate each step of the way.
You choose the theme of the cookies (birthday, wedding, holiday, season, etc). I'll choose the specific shapes and designs to go along with the lesson.
You'll receive a copy of icing and dough recipes.
You'll decorate and take home 8 - 12 cookies (depending on how much time you take to decorate).
I offer private classes on weekdays (usually Wednesdays and Thursdays), 10 am to 1 pm. We'll put our calendars together to schedule your class. Please contact me to schedule.
