Learn how to decorate cookies with royal icing - for beginners.
Private, one-on-one class.
Three-Hour Beginner Class....
* Cookies will be made before you arrive.
* We'll make, color, and bag the icing together so that you can learn about all of that and icing consistencies. (First hour)
* We'll decorate together step by step. (Last two hours)
We'll start with the basics of icing consistencies, outlining, flooding, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, wet-next-to-dry and several marbling techniques. I'll show you how these techniques can be used for every holiday and occasion! We'll decorate together. I'll demonstrate each step of the way.
*You choose the theme of the cookies (birthday, wedding, baby, holiday, season, etc). I'll choose the specific shapes and designs to go along with the techniques I'll be teaching you.
*You'll receive a copy of icing and dough recipes.
You'll decorate and take home 8 - 12 cookies (depending on how much time you take to decorate).
*I offer private classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 am to 1 pm. We'll put our calendars together to schedule your class.
Beginner class for one person is $225 for the three hours.
If you'd like to bring one or two friends to a beginner class, it's an additional $100 each.
Some of my favorite basic supplies will be available for purchase. Cash only.
