Cookies are often - not always - available for shipping from Frederick, MD to anywhere within the continental United States. Because I have more order inquiries than I could ever accept - I will often choose local orders over shipped orders (and designs from my own website over someone else's).
Only sturdy cookie shapes are available for shipping. Flowers with stems, crabs, umbrellas, etc - all have very narrow, fragile parts that may break during shipping. Cookie pops are not available for shipping. Minimum order is 24 regular sized cookies or 48 minis. Cookies ship USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance. Packages take two to three days in transit and should arrive to you a few days before your event. Each order is very carefully packed.... Cookies are individually bagged and sealed for freshness and protection. The cookies are placed into a bakery box with bubble wrap between layers. The bakery box is then placed into a cardboard box with plenty of packing materials between the two. If you plan on placing your cookies on a platter for your event, the bags are heat-sealed or adhesive-sealed. Once your cookies arrive, please keep them in the individual cello bags, at room temperature, until serving day. These bags do a great job of keeping cookies fresh. Prior to serving, remove the cookies from the individual bags, move to your platter and cover with several layers of plastic wrap or put in an air-tight container. If you plan to have the cookies served as bagged favors, curling ribbon will be included in your package for you to tie upon arrival. I don' tie the favor bags prior to shipping because the gathered bags take up too much room in the box and don't allow the cookies to rest against each other for support. Shipping & Handling for one to two dozen cookies starts at $15. "Shipping" is postage, insurance and tracking. "Handling" covers packaging materials and the time to pack it. Individual cello bags are 25 cents each. The post office does not guarantee delivery date or insure against breakage.
****Please be aware that there is a risk to having your cookies shipped through the mail. Though the possibility is slim, the box could arrive late, cookies may break, or the box could be lost in transit. Please keep the possibility of breakage into consideration when deciding how many cookies to order. ****If your cookies don't arrive at all and are not marked as "delivered" via online tracking, submit a claim to USPS. ****If your cookie box arrives severely damaged - take pictures, save all cookies and packaging materials, and submit a claim to USPS. They may or may not honor the claim. *****I can not guarantee that your cookies will arrive by a certain date. I can only guarantee that I will ship them on an agreed upon date. The post office gives no guarantees on arrival dates with Priority mail. *****By asking me to ship cookies to you, you understand and agree to accept the risk of broken cookies, late arrival, or lost shipment.
