Sugar Stamps - Frequently Asked Questions
What is the size of each sheet? They are 8.27" x 11.69".
How many meringues/treats can I make per sheet? We offer two types of sheets -
Separate Round Images Sheets - up to 54 1-inch round images per sheet.
All Over Background Sheets - The number of meringues/treats depends on the size you make them. You could make up to 20 1.5-inch treats per sheet or up to 90 1/2-inch treats per sheet.
Do I pipe meringues/candy melts on the shiny side or the dull/rough side of the sheet? Pipe onto the dull side. Shiny side down against the cookie sheet.
What tip do you suggest for meringues? Wilton 6B, 8B, or star tip #88 work nicely.
May I return my Sugar Stamps for a refund or may I exchange for different designs? No. Sugar Stamps are a food product, therefore a final sale.
What are the ingredients in Sugar Stamps? Are they safe? The ingredients are completely safe and edible. Please see the ingredient list below.
How are Sugar Stamps different from other icing type sheets? Many edible images are printed on icing sheets that are peeled off their backing and applied. Wafer papers are applied directly to your dessert. Sugar Stamp sheets have a very fine layer of starch/sugar/food coloring on acetate. The design is transferred and melted into your dessert with gentle heat.
How do they taste? There is no discernible taste or texture difference to desserts made with Sugar Stamps! It's pretty amazing! You'll never even know it's there when tasting the treats!
Are they gluten free? Why yes, they are!
Are they kosher? Yes to that too! View certificate.
Can I make other products on Sugar Stamps? Yes! Do not use Sugar Stamps at temperatures higher than 200 degrees F. They do need heat to complete the design transfer. You'll also want to use them on white or light colored bases. I've made some adorable treats with candy melts. So have others! You can use them with candy melts, white chocolate fudge, marshmallows.... You can see them here.
How do I store my Sugar Stamp sheets? Keep them in a sealed plastic zip top bag until use. Store them in a dry, dark place like a kitchen cabinet. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the sheets, removing the design from the acetate.
How long do Sugar Stamps last? Please use them within one year.
From where do Sugar Stamp sheets ship? Your sheets will ship from Middletown, MD USA using USPS. They will be shipped in 1 - 3 business days.

I'm afraid of making meringues! Are they terribly difficult to make? No! They're surprisingly easy! Many recipes call for you to whisk the egg whites over a bain marie (double boiler) or to pour in hot sugar syrup while whisking. Don't let those methods scare you from making meringues! There are many fabulous recipes out there where you simply whip egg whites and granulated sugar together. Easy and they come out beautifully! Here's an easy recipe from The Kitchn with lots of step-by-step photos. You can do this. Truly!
Do you offer wholesale pricing? No. Sorry.
